At Dentostack, our vision is to simplify clinic management through thoughtful innovation. This July, we concentrated our energies on strengthening one of the most critical practice management functions — Patient Billing. Guided by insights from clinic owners and their staff, we undertook substantial changes towards making billing-related operations more transparent, accurate, and efficient.

Payment Mode Tracking

Tracking UPI, card, and cash payments has become relatively cumbersome, especially in multi-doctor clinics with several staff members handling payments. In a bid to make it easier, we introduced Payment Mode Tracking, allowing clinics to see daily revenue by payment mode in a readily readable format.

With this capability, clinics can merely monitor what came in through each channel, removing end-of-day disarray and enhancing financial reporting.

Payment Discount Support

The majority of clinics provide customers with goodwill discounts, but previously, such discounts were not explicitly labelled in estimates or invoices. This was usually the source of confusion or overestimation of the discounts provided.

Our Payment Discount Support feature, now available in our product, allows clinics to apply and display discount figures at the point of payment. These figures are now clearly displayed on the final bill and also in pre-treatment estimates, to enhance trust and transparency in patient communication.

Individual Payment Receipt Printing

Whereas computerised records are the norm elsewhere, we do recognise that clinics in some places still need paper receipts, particularly for patients requesting a simple cash memo in the event of a one-time payment.

To address this requirement, we have added the ability to print individual receipts for each transaction. This we have in addition to our current consolidated invoice functionality, providing flexibility according to patient choice and local practice requirements.
