We at Dentostack are constantly searching for means to simplify and make dental clinic practice more efficient. We’re glad to announce two new updates that bring more accuracy in patient records and allow clinics to have greater control over their website. Below is what’s new:

DOB Support for Patient Registration

Up to now, Dentostack only accepted the patient’s age in years. While this was sufficient for most of the patients, it was not acceptable for toddlers and infants. There would be no choice but to enter the age as 0 or 1, which was not correct and was confusing when it came to prescriptions and recordkeeping.

We have introduced Date of Birth (DOB) support during patient registration. This allows the system to calculate the exact age, including days and months.

For patients under 1 year of age, the system now shows age as “6 months” instead of simply “0”. Clinical reports like prescriptions, certificates, and case notes now show the true age, which improves clarity and compliance. This is especially useful in pediatric dentistry, where age in months can affect treatment.

Training Module for Website Manager

Clinic websites on Dentostack are maintained on a regular basis by our support staff. We realize, nonetheless, that a majority of clinics would rather control their own internet presence more intimately.

We’ve introduced a Website Manager Training Module, which will help the clinic staff to edit and update their own websites with confidence. Clinics can update contact information, look and feel of site, sliders, doctor profiles easily without waiting.

With more control there is more freedom to make timely promotions, post holiday schedules etc.
